#AlumniApril: Meet Our Alumni Advisory Council Members

Happy #AlumniApril! The sky’s the limit for our Girls Who Code students and community. That’s why all month long we want to celebrate you — our incredible alumni and community. Check out what our Alumni Advisory Council members are up to:

Nia Asemota is an Afro-Latina engineer, artist, and fashion model from New York who has interned and worked at organizations like NASA and Spotify. She founded ArtxNia LLC, a venture dedicated to empowering young girls in STEM through diverse educational resources like coloring books, stickers, and puzzles. Nia published her debut coloring book, “Black Girls CODE the Future” to increase representation in STEM. Nia has also co-developed robotics programs tailored for elementary and middle school students in underserved neighborhoods across NYC.

Marizza Delgado is a data scientist, fashion model, content creator, and former Miss New York Earth USA. She has worked on Etsy’s Product Analytics team and created content to advocate for more women in the STEM field. She has built an online audience of 18K+ followers. She hopes to grace the Miss USA stage representing New York and lead her own tech startup.

Priscilla Ramos is a first-year master’s student majoring in cybersecurity at Montclair State University, and is passionate about changing the face of tech. Currently associated with DTCC as a software analyst, Priscilla has navigated transformative moments in her academic and professional journey, including being a first-generation Latina college student.

Grace Pfohl is an associate cyber security consultant at risk3sixty, an information and cyber risk management advisory firm in Atlanta, Georgia. Grace served as a fellow and game design instructor at Girls Make Games in 2020 and has completed front-end software engineering and user experience internships at tech companies LinkedIn and Cruise.

Joanna Walters is currently a third-year student at Harvard University, concentrating in Computer Science and pursuing a secondary in Economics. She is currently on the board for both Harvard University’s Women in Computer Science, and Harvard University’s Women in Business. Besides her interests in technology, she also has a forever love for fashion!

Lauren Wong serves as an Enterprise Account Manager at ECS. Driven to empower others, she founded Nice For What, an online community dedicated to educating, advocating, and healing college girls who are victims of sexual assault and dating violence which has amassed over 40K followers on Instagram.
